Summer weather is anything but predictable here in Colorado. The heat can
sneak up on you, only to have a storm break out and cool things down.
Then it starts all over again.
That means your air conditioner is always cycling through on-again/off-again
mode, trying its best to keep your temperature at a comfortable level.
What if the weekend promises a heatwave, and your air conditioner won’t
turn on Friday evening? What if you have guests coming over for dinner
… on a holiday afternoon?
Is your emergency our emergency?
Chances are you’ve heard nightmares about trying to find someone
to come in and fix your air conditioner. Finding someone is half the battle;
the other half is getting hit with a bill that’s double, triple,
even more because it wasn’t “normal business hours.”
At
Quality First Plumbing and Heating, we take the guesswork out of what you’ll pay. Our customer service
team is always available to answer your questions. And we don’t
mark up our service fees “just because.” We keep things simple.
Still, you might wonder if you should call immediately, or wait until Monday
morning to call for an appointment. Are you experiencing any of these?
Strange Sounds
There are a variety of reasons your air conditioner might start making noises.
When did you first hear the noise? Did it start small and build? Or did
it suddenly start and became worrisome immediately? If something seems
excessive, turn your AC system off and call in one of our technicians
immediately.
Strange Smells
When your air conditioner starts to run after being dormant for a while,
it can have a musty smell. But once it’s been operating regularly,
you shouldn’t smell anything out of the ordinary. If you smell a
burning odor, it’s usually an indication that a part of your air
conditioner is overheating, impacting the motor and electrical parts.
This is an emergency repair; call in one of our technicians immediately.
No Cold Air
Sometimes your air conditioner won’t turn on. Sometimes your air
conditioner appears to be running, but you can’t feel cooled air.
It might be a problem with the blower, a thermometer that isn’t
properly calibrated, or your air conditioner has finally worn out.
You don’t have to wait until Monday morning to call in a service
repair. You don’t have to sweat it out all weekend. We can get in
and get your home back to a comfortable temperature, any hour of the day.
Just call.
